Formula 1 Calendar – no registration required
We have removed the necessity for visitor to register at GIXr.com in order to download our calendar files. This includes all our calendars including the most popular, Formula 1 and Moto GP.
ALL downloadable calendars will now be freely accessible in formats compatible with Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, iPhone and Google Calendar.
We are working towards a personal calendar where visitors will be able to add as many calendars as they wish to their own calendar profile. This way a site member will be able to download a single calendar link that will include all their events across all channels.
There is no need to update your existing calendar subscriptions as this will continue to work for individual calendar channels.

The dates for testing sessions have been announced. The testing throughout February will all take place in Spain. The four session start at Valencia (Ricardo Tormo), 2 sessions at Jerez and a final stint at Circuit de Catalunya.

It really is that easy; you register here, and download a calendar to your iPhone, Google calendar or Outlook. The events update automatically as we add them to the site. Oh.. and it’s free.

Calendar updates
We will be publishing a new version of the calendar over the next 48 hours. The new calendar will list all the available events for the category and in the case of there being no future events in the category the calendar will include the last event even if that is in the past. This prevents errors for subscribed users.
Guests to the web site will be able to download the next event in any category. Full calendars will only be available to registered users.

New Calendar: Horse Racing
We have created a new calendar for Horse Racing. This calendar lists all the venues as “all day” events. We will add dates to the calendar month by month. Notable races will be added as additional events.
New Calendar: MotoGP
The MotoGP dates for races in 2010 have been added to the site (MotoGP Calendar).
Formula 1 Calendar for iPhone, Google Calendar and Outlook
We have created a new version of the calendar that can be added to applications like Google Calendar, Outlook and even your iPhone. The new calendar (working with Formula 1) will automatically update when changes are made to the event details (“quite likely in F1 2010″).
School holidays: Download term dates to your calendar
Having initially created the site to make it easy to keep track of sports events for the complete season. It occurs to me that there are many uses for this type of calendar in everyday life.
A large number of us must have the school term dates stuck on the fridge door. So I am going to add a new channel to GIXr for all the UK school holidays. There are a lot of different schedules as each education authority can create their own calendar.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who would download this type of event. Are there any bits of information that would make the calendar more useful?
